The PHATE (Phage Therapy) Network held its first scientific retreat at Djurönäset, Stockholm Archipelago, getting together our lab, the Giske group from Department of Laboratory Medicine and the Pelechano lab from SciLifeLab to discuss advances in phage biology, host–pathogen interactions and translational phage research.

The meeting combined PI-level vision sessions with short scientific presentations from early-career scientists, fostering dialogue across molecular microbiology, clinical research, and biotechnology.
A special thanks to Christian Giske, Anni-Maria Ornala Tiznado, Vicente Pelechano for shaping an inspiring event that marks the start of a long-term collaborative effort.
